About Mikey - 4yo Mini Dachshund (Trial)
Meet Mikey, a charming 4-year-old male Miniature Dachshund with a heart full of love and a personality that's equally spirited and sweet. His love for cuddles is only matched by his enthusiasm for playtime, making him the perfect companion for any fun-loving family or individual.
He's making great strides with his training and would love someone who will continue guiding him through his learning journey. He walks extremely well on the lead and loves getting out and about for sniffs and running around.
Mikey is a friend to all, canine and human alike, often being told he is a very friendly sausage. His gentle disposition makes him a wonderful playmate for children also.
Mikey is eager to please and responds well to positive reinforcement—treats are always welcome, though he's not one to beg. He loves to snuggle closely on the couch and will sleep in his own bed, although with his Dachshund ways, he’d love a spot on your bed!
He's got a curious nose for exploration, so a grassy yard for sniffing would be suited.
One of Mikey's standout traits is his serene nature; he's not your typical vocal Dachshund. His ideal home is with another dog to bond with, and would like someone home more often than not. Mikey would love to be welcomed inside as part of the family. He loves his people and just wants to be close by. He’ll happily join you for any outings or adventures.
This sweet boy will steal your heart away and smother you with love, ensuring your lap never gets cold.

Mikey is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW and he is available for interstate adoption. His adoption fee is $600 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family
member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
