About Lilly
Yep I really am this cute!
My name is Lilly but I could easily be call a fluff ball!
I am an 8 week old Miniature Poodle – My siblings and I came into care after a breeder contacted the rescue to say that our mum was in trouble and us premature babies had just been born (1 hour earlier) and she needed the rescues help – mum was not expected to make it (she did and is in care with the rescue thriving) but we were another story – needing to be feed and looked after cause our mum couldn’t.
So fast forward now to 8 weeks and we are big kids now! We are all happy, healthy little fluff balls who are looking for our forever homes.
So a few practical things to get out of the way before we discuss more
1. Yes all our bios are the same really – because we are all 8 week old pups still forming our personalities and cheekiness
2. Yes you can apply to meet more than just me just put the names on the application – just know that only one of us can be adopted per family so there is no littermate issues
3. We leave care at 12 weeks of age
4. Mum is safe with the rescue and they did the last litter desexing program on her so no more babies for our mum – she Is going up for adoption very soon as well.
The rescue has taken such good care of me (Lilly), Poppy, Rosie, Iris, Daisy, Jasmine, Ash, Rowan and Aspen.
All of us love having a cuddle with our humans and would very happily spend hours being cuddled.
Our foster mum says that we are great little pups who play happily – sometimes rough and then sometimes gentle but definitely chasing each other and stealing toys from each other.
The rescue has a rule of no siblings going together (littermate syndrome) but we would be happy as only dogs or as a younger sibling to your dog - we do like to snuggle and play with other dogs
We have been learning to sit when we have my dinner and my foster mum says we are getting there slowly... but you know I have siblings and something could be yummier in their bowl.
We currently live with all size dogs and ages (and temperaments) my foster mum says that we are definitely dog socialized, oh yeah and kid socialized too.
We are 75% toilet trained but we are still only 8 weeks old so you know, accidents may happen.
Currently our foster mum works away from home about 6 hours a day but we spend our day having access inside and out playing to our hearts are content while she works.
Our foster mum was very proud that we learnt how to use the doggy door so quickly – hell yeah it meant at our bedtime we could run outside and keep playing with the other dogs – she just shakes her head now and says okay when you’re tired you will crash and I’ll come sort you out (sometimes we sleep with the bigger dogs for a bit)
None of us are cat tested but we are also really young so this is something that should be easily taught to us (don’t chase)
We love to have a play outside in the grass (wet as well) and then come in and have a good cuddle
Our foster mum does these baths on us she reckons that we all get so dirty so quickly – but we just give her smooches and tell her cause we are having fun!
We are about to have our first groom at the groomers (just a tidy up really) but something the rescue says is going to be a thing forever with us with our coat so on going grooming is definitely in our future. She said seriously we will need to be groomed every 6 – 8 weeks so it’s an ongoing expense you will need to be prepared for if you chose one of us.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.

INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
