On Hold
Merlot is our shy little 'gummy' girl. Merlot was suffering from dental disease on her arrival to the shelter and the vet determined to keep her happy and pain free the best thing to do would be to remove her teeth.
Merlot appears to be much happier and in brighter spirits since this surgery. Don’t let it worry you – we assure you Merlot is still able to eat and thoroughly enjoys her breakfast and dinner. The vet described Merlot as a very brave and gorgeous girl.
Merlot is a middle-aged lady who enjoys a quieter lifestyle. She would enjoy a quiet home where she can relax and watch the world go by from a windowsill.
She is a peaceful little cat who adores curling up in her enclosed bed and enjoying a good snooze in between a good stretch on her scratching post. Merlot would be best suited to a calmer home as she can be a bit timid initially.
We recommend all our cats live indoors for their own safety and for the safety of wildlife. This is extra important for Merlot to be kept inside due to her white coat which will be prone to skin cancer if she is kept outside.
