About Axel
What Axel is looking for in his forever home
- Cuddles and toys.
- Further training and understandable owners when he doesn’t get it quite right the first time.
- Another playful desexed dog (not senior or puppy) to help show him the way.
- To be taken on family adventures.
- A safe and secure backyard
- An indoor outdoor lifestyle and to be able to sleep inside of a night.
Axel is a fun loving, affectionate typical young puppy. He enjoys cuddle from his people, playing with other dogs and playing with his toys. Axel can be a little nervous when meeting new people and dogs but his trainer is working on this and he is improving, he is still in the phase of jumping up to greet people and is receiving training on how to better greet people.
Axel loves traveling in the care. He is walking well on lead and is starting to learn to sit on command. Axel is still working on toilet training and is doing well. Being a young pup, he still needs to learn a lot so he can fit into your life and be a polite member of your family.
During the days Axel is happy to find somewhere to rest outside in the sunshine or in his kennel and enjoys inside cuddles during the day. He is crate trained for overnight sleep and for day naps.
Axel has seen, chickens, cows, horses, goats, and sheep he was great and was able to stay calm. He will need further training around farm animals to insure as he grows, he doesn’t chase them.
Axel is being fostered by a dog trainer and this is her latest update
He has a great Christmas, had a road trip, had a swim in the river, has had some time around kids, pools, loud noises (mower, music, vacuums etc). He’s an awesome lil dude!!!

Please note- we do not work on a first in best dressed basis, we assess all applications to choose the home that we believe will best match the animal.
If you believe one of our animals would be a good match for your home please send us a detailed email us with some information about the people and any other animals in your home as well as the type of lifestyle you can offer a new rescue pet. We are volunteerswho run the rescue around families, paid employment and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
