About Donald
Donald’s requirements for his new home
- People that are home often.
- A desexed dog of similar size (not senior).
- Be able to sleep on his human’s bed of a night.
- To be with his humans inside during the day and have access to a yard for plays and sniffs.
- A yard with secure fencing
- No young children living in his home due to him being jumpy and mouthy
- No cats or small animals in the home
- People willing to train him, either themselves or seeking a dog trainer or training groups.
Donald our little scruff boy just loves his people. He will follow you from room to room, sit with you on the couch and sleep with you on your bed. He also enjoys playing with dogs of a similar size. He hasn’t quite worked out what dog toys are about but he is trying to work them out. Donald is an excitable fella and can jump and be a little mouthy, his carer is working on this and him only being 2 he will learn better ways of greeting people.
Donald loves trips in the car, he can start off a little nervous but he settles really quick and enjoys his outings. It seems Donald hasn’t received any training in his previous home and will need training, he won't be trustworthy off lead until he has had training in recall. He is ok on the lead but will need further training on the lead and with his overall manners. Donald is toilet trained when given regular access to outside.

Please note- we do not work on a first in best dressed basis, we assess all applications to choose the home that we believe will best match the animal.
If you believe one of our animals would be a good match for your home please send us a detailed email us with some information about the people and any other animals in your home as well as the type of lifestyle you can offer a new rescue pet. We are volunteerswho run the rescue around families, paid employment and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
