About Moby
If there was a prize for most adorable puppy, we sure think Moby would be in with a shot! This chonky boy made his way to us from a rural pound and it didn’t take his carers long to figure out what an incredible all-round puppy he is.
While in care, Moby has been learning about all the creature comforts foster care has to offer. He loves nothing more a good play or a belly scratch. While he is just old enough to start getting out and about safely, he has taken to the big wide world like a fish on water and enjoys going new places and getting the occasional pats from admirers. He has also been enjoying car rides and happily gets strapped in to join his family on an adventure. He will need owners who understand he needs gentle and continual exposure to new places and environments to ensure he continues to grow into a well natured and confident dog.
Moby has been living with a large breed dog in foster care and has thoroughly enjoyed building this relationship. He enjoys playing with toys and exploring the garden independently. He gets along well with the resident dog and enjoys teasing her with toys! He responds well to being told enough is enough during play time but does love to give lots of kisses to both canine and humans alike! Due to his age, he hasn’t had many chances to socialise outside of the house so will need a new owner committed to ensuring his socialisation is continued. It is important that he is given positive socialisation experiences with other dogs, ideally in the form of play dates with other friendly and appropriate dogs rather than at dog off lead areas where the other dogs are unknowns. Moby is expected to be a large sized dog who will be relatively active as an adult so will require daily exercise to keep him happy and healthy.
Moby has started basic training and is picking new things up quickly- he is VERY food motivated so will enjoy continuing to learn new things. He loves his crate and his foster carers have done a really good job of fostering a good relationship for Moby with his crate. He sleeps in it overnight without a peep, unless he needs a quick toilet break and is more than happy to relax in his crate during the day when he needs a nap. He has been left home alone for 2-3 hours at a time and enjoys resting in his crate during this time. His toilet training is coming along well, but his foster carers still need to be diligent to ensure they are not letting him free roam when unsupervised. Moby is, as a lot of puppies do, going through a play biting phase. He is easily redirected and it’s not a regular occurrence, but his new owners will need to stay on top of this puppy behaviour. This is important for any families with children applying as he will likely mouth their hands if excited or tired. Moby will be fine as an only dog or with other dogs in the household. Regardless of the addition of other dogs in the household, he will need someone home more often than not as he is a young puppy who should not be left alone for hours on end. If there are other dogs in the household, they should be over 2 and not be offended by his puppy attempts to play. He should be fine to integrate with other species of animals due to his age and laid-back nature.
We are looking for a dog experienced home for Moby where he will be a part of the family and be provided with lots of gentle exposure to new places, people and dogs. Moby should be allowed inside to be with the family and will need a bed to sleep on inside at night. He would absolutely love a home where she is allowed on the couch for some snuggles too!
Moby is seriously such a delightful pup with a super cool temperament. He has a lot to offer, and his stable nature make him very easy to adjust to new situations. He will make an incredible family dog and will give you years of loyalty and fun in return. If you are interested in making Moby a member of your family, then please apply by completing a Dog Adoption Enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website as the first step. Please include plenty of details about who is in your household, your previous dog experience and what sort of lifestyle you can offer Moby.

This puppy will be adopted out under a desexing contract that will require the dog to be desexed by a given age. The cost of desexing will be included as part of the adoption fee. A $250 desexing bond will be payable in addition to the adoption fee and will be refunded upon proof of desexing. This process is further discussed with successful applicants.
Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
