About Ace
Meet Ace
This young man arrived to us skinny and neglected :( He was under 2kg and very underweight!
Fast forward to now and he has put on over a 1kg in weight, he is healthy and happy and ready to start the new chapter in his life!
Ace is a sweet, loving and happy boy. He loves nothing more than to sit on your lap all day and give you kisses. He is gentle and doesn't bite or show any human aggression. He is great with kids but if they get rough with him he will get upset, he needs dog savvy and gentle children only.
His favourite food is cheese and when his carer gets his daily cheese from the fridge he does a little happy dance and gets so excited 😊.
As you can imagine Ace has some food aggression, but this is only towards other animals not humans, because of this Ace will be best in a home without other dogs, he is fine with cats so long as they stay away from his food or he will growl at them.
He walks well on lead but has no recall and if let out the front he will run away from you and isn't easy to catch so you must be careful of the front door when he is Inside!
He isn't yet toilet trained and still marks his territory on items around the house as he was only just desexed we are hoping this will decrease in time, he will need to continue his training around this in his new home as his carers are currently working on this skill with him.
Overall he is a lovely boy who would be best suited to a home without other dogs, he can be around other dogs just not when food or treats are involved. A home where he can be a lap dog and go on daily short walks, a home if there are kids they are gentle and respectful, a home where he is loved and doted on 💕

* You will have a list of questions sent that you need to answer and send back.
* Photos are requested of your yard, the fencing and any undercover shelter areas (patio/pergola) that must be sent through along with answers to questions.
* It’s not first in best dressed and we pride ourselves in finding the perfect family home for the animals in our care and make sure each family finds the perfect animal aswell.
* We also offer a 2 week trial on all animals that are adopted from this rescue organisation.
* Meet and greets are always taken prior to adoption and if all goes well that same day, they can adopt on the spot and take home to begin the next chapter together.
*All animals listed on our petrescue page are available for adoption until the moment they are removed

The site is ran by volunteers who also have work commitments and families of their own.
