Meet Boris!
Brought to the RSPCA in a pretty bad way, Boris has been under the loving care of our veterinary team whilst recovering from some pretty nasty cat fight wounds. He is feeling so much better now and is on the mend and is now looking for his new forever home!
Sweet, affectionate, and friendly, Boris hopes any potential adopters will look past his battered exterior and look at the personality within. He loves to be patted and cuddled, though he likes when you get to know him before you try and scoop him up. He is polite to any and all people and is typically found sitting at the front of his cage trying to engage with anyone who will listen. He's spent some time in foster care learning how to live in a home, and boy did he settle in nicely! He will nap with you on the couch, on the bed, anywhere you want! He's also become a little bit playful and enjoys exploring his home with a tour guide (you) present!
Boris can be a little scared of new things and may take some time to really shine in his new home. Food is the way to this boy's heart, closely followed by cuddles. In foster care he loved afternoon naps in bed with his foster mum, and being brushed and patted endlessly.
He would be fine to live with kids, but given his history of fighting (resulting in an FIV+ diagnosis), we are not recommending he go to a home with other cats. Boris now has to be an indoor only cat to prevent further cat fights and the spread of FIV, as well as reduce the risk to his health, but would love a home with an outdoor cat run if possible.
