About Maxime
Izzy Whizzy, let's get busy!
Lovely Izzy has not had the easiest of starts to life. She was the classic example of a dog whose genetics & needs were not considered before she was taken home as a pup. In Izzy's case, she is a working breed mix & needs a lot of mental & physical stimulation. Kelpies are as smart as they come & they really need to use that brilliant brain of theirs. They also need the chance to run off some of that dynamo energy that they have been born with. Bear in mind, they were bred to work for hours! They require daily exercise for both body & mind. If these needs are met then they can be one of the most loyal, devoted, intelligent & loving friends you ever had.
Izzy has not seen much of the outside world & she is looking for a new family who will understand that she can get a little worried with new places & experiences. If she is given time & space to process what's going on around her, & if she is given reassurance & the ability to make choices without being flooded & overwhelmed, then we believe that she will blossom into an awesome companion.
She is still young & would benefit greatly from someone willing to commit to her ongoing positive reinforcement training. She is also under-socialised with other dogs but, so far, with the other dogs that she has met at the shelter, she is starting to make new friends & enjoys a good romp with her besties!
She would love space to run & do the Zoomies & she also needs secure fencing to keep her safe. She would also love to have that special person to bond with, she needs to feel safe & won't thrive with too much alone time.
So we're looking for a special home for our special Izzy. Would you consider inviting her into your heart & home?
