Hazel

Hi my name is Hazel. I am a Maremma Sheepdog and 6 months old. I am a real sweetheart, you wait and see.

Like all other Maremma’s, I’d love to have a job to do on a farm with open spaces so a rural setting is desirable, or a very large yard as I need space.

I will protect and guard anything from chickens, sheep and horses! And I have also been brought up with cats.

I am very loyal and would make a good guard dog. Im also very loving and affectionate with a calm demeanour. Train me to look after your flock! I have been brought up with young children and now in foster care with other dogs of all shapes and sizes jumping all over me but I don’t mind at all.

I am a bit timid and wary around strangers but this is the guardian breed in me and i will bark at something unusual.

Oh and I LOVE water whether it be my drinking bowl or the dam!

I am very intelligent and learning new things very quickly.

I am crate trained and will willingly go in off a night.

I am well behaved and very good at meal times, I sit patiently while my dinner is being prepared and then I wait to be told that I can eat it. I am very good in the car.
