Beautiful Bindi came into care as a stray and unfortunately tested positive for heartworm shortly after. She has undergone months of treatment and after testing negative, she is finally ready for her forever home.

Bindi is an affectionate girl with a beautiful nature. She is very cuddly, sweet and protective. She has good manners, excellent recall, and being a people pleaser and one smart cookie she is obedient and quick to learn. She is also very food oriented which makes training her a breeze.

Bindi is very dog friendly, although being a dominant female she would be best rehomed with a male dog or submissive female. She has also been good with her foster carer’s livestock/ducks under supervision. She is an active girl who enjoys running, swimming and playing.

Bindi is not without her challenges: she does have separation anxiety, and doesn’t cope well being left alone. For this reason she would be best suited to a home where she can be with her human(s) most of the time. She’d make an excellent tradie’s dog, office dog or a retiree’s constant companion: she loves sitting next to her human on the couch, sleeping in bed, riding shotgun in the car or chilling at the foot of the office desk.

Bindi can be territorial and weary of random strangers, as she is protective of her people. She will therefore require a dominant human that enforces firm boundaries and lets her know what behaviour is ok and not ok. She does not do well in a kennel/crate or on a chain, so her adopter will need to be willing to work with her on this.

Bindi is a loving and loyal gal who wants nothing more than to be with her people.

Bindi is $350 to adopt and comes desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated, heartworm tested (negative after treatment), and given flea/tick/worm prevention.
