Champ came to live with us when his Mum had to go into care and he could not go too.🥲
On that day Champ’s whole world changed. One day living with just his Mum and the next into a foster home with dogs and cats. I guarantee you Champ had never had anything to do with cats before , and I don’t think to much to do with other dogs either.
What did Champ do ? Well like his name he handled it all like a champion. 🏆
Champ quickly made friends with my dogs, and you will often see them playing chase and tag in the yard. Champ is 11 years old and boy does he give my dogs a run for their money . If you didn’t know how old Champ was you would think he is a much younger dog .
Champ loves car rides, all you have to do is open the car door and in he pops. He will happily share the back seat with my other 2 dogs when we are out and about. When we go walking Champ again walks very well with my dogs. He is not reactive to other dogs, he just walks along enjoying the sunshine and new sights.
Being with his peoples is what Champ is all about. He was an inside dog when he lived with his Mum, and he likes to be inside here also. When I work from the office Champ stays in the house, and would be best suited to someone that’s works mostly from home or is retired. Champ has his own bed which I have put beside my bed and you don’t hear a peep from him all night.
Champ does get excited when it’s meal time and he can jump a little but that’s over very quickly. He does not jump on me, it’s just happy excitement. Not a yappy dog, Champ is quiet. If Champ is included in family life he is one very content dog.
Champ does though have no recall so a fenced yarn is a must. Champ will need to be on a lead whenever his is outside the fenced yard.

Adoption Process
Once you have decided you would like to meet or apply for one of our pets, we email out our Adoption Application. We ask that the Adoption Process be read and if comfortable with how we adopt, complete the application and email it back for processing. This takes approximately 5-7 days. If approved the pet will come for a 6 week trial for cats and 3 week trial for dogs . We believe it takes that long for a pet to settle. If all goes well during the trial and you wish to finalise the adoption we email all vet certificates and change of microchip forms. We believe in matching the right pet with the right home so your application does not guarantee an approval.
