About Selby
Hi! My name is Selby and I’m a big lovable smooch of a pup. I’m only 2 years old and while I love running around the backyard I had no desire to race.
I love hugs and kisses very much, sunday sleep ins, sunbathing on the grass, long (or short!) walks and snuggles on the couch but food is my true love! I’m very food motivated so foster mum thinks I may be able to be trained if I have a family who would be willing to teach me. Because i do love food so much, my family will need to be careful with leaving food out….I’m tall enough that a benchtop is no trouble!
I love playing with my stuffies and balls and will even bring them back to you to throw again! I walk beautifully on the lead and am very gentle. I never pull and I’ll walk at whatever pace suits you….. if you feel like a jog I’m more than happy to trot next to you!
I would love to find a home with another doggy friend or 2 and some lovely humans that I can give hugs to. I’m still new to being a pet and I get a little bit worried when foster mum leaves me all day, but I’m getting better and better.
I have been living with 2 greyhounds, male and female and have regular walks with cattle dogs and oodles. I am big and I get excited so I might be better with older children so I don’t accidentally knock them over in excitement. I don’t ever want to upset anyone so if I do anything wrong, a gentle no is all I need.
If you’re looking for a beautiful, gentle soul with tons of love to give, then I might be the boy for you!
Adoption details
All BTG greyhounds are Desexed, C5 Vaccinated, Wormed & Heart Worm treated prior to adoption.
They have been fostered for a minimum of 8 weeks to allow maximum training and preparation for home life.
A post adoption trial period of 4 weeks is available to help families decide if the greyhound is the right one for them.
We also offer Foster to Adopt options for those who love the idea of teaching a greyhound in their home with the view to adopt it once it has "graduated" to Home Life status. This is a wonderful experience, to watch it blossom in your own home with your guidance and love. An ideal way to make sure this is the perfect dog for you.
