About Addie
READY FOR FOSTER TO ADOPT OR ADOPTION
Miss Addie
She is a buddle of energy when you first meet her, but it doesn’t take long for her to calm down. Once she calms down over the initial excitement of seeing people she is a loving, playful, happy, affectionate, adventurous, cuddly and an expert leaner.
She loves getting out and meeting people on walks and exploring. She will do anything for a treat and loves going for zoomies, playing with either people (balls are good fun, just don’t expect her to bring it back)
She does tire quickly but if with doggy friends forgets to take the play break to catch her breath (and not overheat).
She will cuddle with anyone that sits down and will get a close as possible to the person. She is a very neat kennel dog (will hold until she can go outside) and picks up routines quickly.
She loves stuffed toys (sometimes a bit too much, which ends with stuffing everywhere) and will go hunting for them out of a toy box .
She doesn’t like confined spaces. So crate training would not do well for her. She will get anxious and whiny in them if left alone.
She could be either an only dog home with part time workers or a family home most of the time. She would also be happy with a large to medium size dog that likes to play but is calm to help curb her silly excitedness at times.
Would not be suitable with cats
She is fine around other breeds of dogs, but is still learning to socialize with the small dogs (walks fine on lead with them).
Potentially suit a family with children 6+ years old.
If you are interested in Addie please let us know, and we will arrange a meet,
She is currently a student in the TAFESA at Gilles Plains.

Adoption details
All BTG greyhounds are Desexed, C5 Vaccinated, Wormed & Heart Worm treated prior to adoption.
They have been fostered for a minimum of 8 weeks to allow maximum training and preparation for home life.
A post adoption trial period of 4 weeks is available to help families decide if the greyhound is the right one for them.
We also offer Foster to Adopt options for those who love the idea of teaching a greyhound in their home with the view to adopt it once it has "graduated" to Home Life status. This is a wonderful experience, to watch it blossom in your own home with your guidance and love. An ideal way to make sure this is the perfect dog for you.
