Meet Wombat!

Wombat came to the shelter looking a little rough, he was missing a lot fur on his face and it was clear that the world had not been kind to this little guy. The moment he entered the shelter, Wombat made it clear that he won't let the past bother him. He is a sweet man who discovered quickly that humans are providers of the most important things in life; attention, pats, toys, and of course food!

Although Wombat is more than ready to leave his old street cat life behind, old habits die hard and Wombat sometimes finds things in his new life a little bit overwhelming. We recommend that his new home allows him plenty of time to settle, especially around smaller kids, but he may be happy to share his home with some other nice four legged friends. Since Wombat is FIV positive, he cannot live with FIV negative cats. It's important to give him some time and space to get settled in, but once he is he will show you his true snuggle nature.
