About Buddy
Buddy's favourite pastimes include sniffing around, going for walks, food puzzles, and playing tug of war. He's a sweetheart and will bring you his favourite toys or his blanket, hoping you'll be pleased. He loves pats and hanging out - he will follow you around the yard just to be close by. Buddy's got lots of puppy love for his people, but he's been learning not to jump up to greet people...so now he tends to wiggle his body and brush up against your legs. He talks when he approaches you, and if he thinks you have a treat, he starts performing random tricks he knows. He also likes to carry 2-3 balls at a time. Yep, he's a completely adorable goofball!
Buddy is happiest with a steady routine and infrequent exposure to new or exciting environments. He is the kind of dog that is content living in his own little bubble. He can be spooked by thunder, loud trucks, and motorbikes, although he is fine around lawnmowers and tools. He will thrive in the company of a confident and socially steady dog friend who can help him feel safe and secure and model confident behaviour for him. He prefers little dogs or dogs with similar playstyles to his own. Buddy likes to chase, so cats and pocket pets aren't on his list of potential housemates.
He'll do best with people or dog companions around most of the time, especially those with experience in the gun dog realm or who appreciate his active, independent, and sensitive nature. Buddy is seeking a rural or semi-rural home on a spacious property where he can stretch his legs and get some daily high-intensity exercise on his own property. He is crate trained for sleeping at night time and does this well. He can be a little excited when invited to join in family time, especially in the morning, but after a happy day of food puzzles, exercise and playtime, he comes inside and happily puts himself to bed. He can be a bit of a chewer when it comes to his beds or blankets. He likes to deconstruct dog beds, so hammock-style beds and his crate are best.
Buddy is a great dog looking for the right person and home to suit his adorable and quirky needs. Home2Home's program behaviour specialist is on hand to ensure that Buddy's adopters are well set up for successfully transitioning him into his new home!

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
