About Murray
We are looking for a special person/family to adopt our beautiful Border Collie. If you are a collie lover this boy will steal your heart, he needs you to love him. Please read his profile thoroughly to see if your home is what he needs.
Hi,
My name is Murray and my foster mum “Leesa “says I’m a very special boy. I didn’t have the best start to life and missed out on all exposures as a baby which made me scared of a lot of things. Leesa has been working hard to show me things in the world aren’t as scary as I thought, and I have gained so much more confidence since I have been with her. She did say I’m still a work in progress and my new family will need to be patience with me and allow me time to adjust to a new home with new things and people.
When I get to know you and work out that you aren’t a scary person I will love you with all my heart (especially if you give me bum bum scratches). I LOVE to play with toys of all kinds, I’m starting to get used to trips in the car, Leesa takes us to the oval or the bush to run and explore lots of things. Oh when I say us, I mean me and my foster brothers. They have been a great help in teaching me people can be kind and loving and even fun. I’m not a fan of going for walks to a lot of different places, especially if there are strangers around, I can’t help it I just want to run away and hide. Leesa has been taking me to a local lake in the car and I have been learning to sit and watch people go by, she said this is a good step to gaining confidence around strangers (I’m trying really hard but tbh I can’t wait to get back home)
I have been told even though I’m still learning a lot of things I have some great things about me already, I would love to share them with you. Obviously I am a very handsome young man, I sleep in my crate all night, I can sit, drop, shake hands, speak on command, sit pretty, wait for food, and fetch. I go outside to toilet and when I have bonded with my people, I have good recall. Leesa says I’m a typical Border Collie smarty pants. I would love to live with a family on land so I can run and have fun without too many strangers coming to scare me.

Meet Murray, a beautiful Border Collie in search of a loving home. Despite not having the best start to life, Murray has made tremendous progress under the care of his foster mum Leesa. He is now much more confident and loves to play with toys and explore all kinds of new things with his foster brothers. He's also learned some amazing tricks like sitting, dropping, shaking hands, speaking on command, and fetching!
When it comes to strangers, Murray can still be quite timid so he needs a family who can provide him with lots of love and patience as he continues to adjust. Ideally he would live in a quiet rural area with plenty of space for running and playing. His forever family should also be prepared to commit to providing him with daily exercise and mental stimulation so that he can reach his full potential.
If you think your home is the perfect fit for Murray then please submit an adoption application! Be sure to include detailed information about your lifestyle so that we can better understand how you plan on meeting all of Murray's needs. We know that the special person or family out there will give this sweet boy the life he deserves!
