About Nico - 6 Month Old Kelpie X (Trial)
Hi, my name is Nico! I'm a 6 month old Kelpie cross. I'm a very friendly and inquisitive puppy! I love investigating new sounds and smells! Do you have a fly problem? Well then I'm the doggo for you! I will happily spend my day outside quietly chasing the flies around the back yard. I also love a good cuddle with my foster Mum. She says I have the softest fur!!
I would be well suited to an active family! I will also need someone who has experience with working dogs as my foster mum says I'm really smart and love learning new things! I've already learnt to sit and starting to get my other basic manners too! I'm only just a puppy after all!
I'm learning to walk loosely on my lead, I sometimes get a bit excited about the cars going by! But I'm learning to focus on the treats! Hmmmm treats!
Nico loves food, which is a great asset when training him. He will happily spend his day outside with his foster brother (4 year old working dog Truey) and then come in for cuddles at night or sitting on his bed. Nico is also crate trained, and will happily sleep outside or in his crate at night.
Nico's forever family would need to understand his need for exercise and mental stimulation. He loves to play with other friendly dogs, so would love to have a friendly, active dog for company in his new home, but will happily entertain himself outside.
Nico is not recommended for small children as he is only a puppy and can still get excited and jump sometimes.
Nico is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW. He is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped. Adoption fee is $600.
