Shimla is a happy, bouncy love bug that brings out smiles wherever he goes. He loves being around people as well as other dogs, and regularly seeks out pats, sniffs and other positive acknowledgements. He’s a gentle-natured, alert and active dog that will require plenty of love, attention and stimulation. He enjoys going on leashed walks but may need some further training in this area. He’s not that great at walking in a straight line, and can get a bit boisterous when he sees other dogs, particularly if they react.

Shimla is responsive to guidance and instruction, and quickly learnt how to use a doggy door. He’s also starting to understand that he needs to sit and wait for his food, and is a ‘true gentleman’ when it comes to taking food out of your hand. He also listens to commands, such as when I tell him to leave the resident cats alone.

Shimla has been sleeping really well in a room separate from the rest of the
two-legged and four-legged family but would just as happily sleep nearby. He likes to be in the company of others as much as possible and has often been my working-from-home buddy.

He loves toys and teddies, and mostly sticks to chewing items he’s been given. There has been minimal unwanted chewing when he’s been left at home alone.

Shimla is ideally suited to a home where there are regular human-dog snuggles and shared exercise routines. He really is an amazing dog.
