Are you a dog-savvy household looking to add a new member to your lively home? Storm may be the perfect addition to your family! This charming pup comes with a high-energy personality and a heart full of love for those around her. Storm is a bit of a wild child, but with some love, training, and patience, she's ready to shine in the right environment.
About Me: Storm is a vivacious, medium-sized dog with a confident and outgoing personality. She thrives on human interaction and craves the love and attention of her family. Her boundless enthusiasm for life is infectious, and she's sure to bring joy and energy to your home.
Ideal Home: Storm loves to have the option to move freely between indoor and outdoor spaces.
She needs a medium to large yard with high, secure fencing to explore safely and burn off some of that energy.
Family: Storm's exuberant nature makes her a great match for families with children aged 5 years and up. While she can be a bit boisterous, her heart is in the right place. With proper guidance and training, she will make a fantastic playmate for your kids.
If you're a part-time worker or have a flexible schedule, Storm will fit right into your life. She relies on human interaction to feel secure and happy, so she's a great match for those who can offer her the love and attention she craves.
Furry Friends: Storm has shown a desire to socialise with other dogs, but she needs some lessons in proper doggy etiquette. We believe that with consistent training at home and one-on-one guidance from a professional, she can learn to interact with other dogs in a respectful and friendly manner.
Storm has a strong prey drive, which makes her unsuitable for homes with cats or pocket pets.
Work Hard: Storm is open to crate training, and post-adoption training, whether it's at home or with a professional, will be beneficial for her.
Storm knows how to sit and is eager to learn more commands & tricks.
We always post-adoption training whether it be at home or with a professional. Training doesn’t have to be a chore – it can be a fun experience for you both, it doesn’t have to take long & is a great way for you to bond with your new pal.
Play Hard: Storm enjoys daily walks and has a particular fondness for treats, especially devon. While she might not be too interested in toys, she prefers the company of her human family. She adores cuddles, pats & ear scratches.
Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
Adoption details
Please remember that the pets we have available sometimes come to us with no history, so we do our very best to get to know them while they are here and to match them to your home. Sometimes animals behave differently outside of the shelter environment, so please do keep in touch after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
