About Stella
Stella is a 2 ½ year old sweet and placid greyhound looking for a loving home. She is affectionate and loves her humans and like a typical greyhound she loves being a couch potato cuddled up next to you as you watch the tele.
Her exercise needs are low and a short walk each day will keep her happy and healthy and then she can return to her fave spot for a nap. She walks brilliantly on a loose lead and you almost forget she is by your side. An afternoon bout of zoomies for a few minutes and she's done.
Stella is perfectly house trained and will let you know when she needs to go out. There have been no accidents at all while she has been in care. She will find the perfect spot and consistently toilet there.
She likes her humans around but is also fine when left alone however would not be suitable for a full time worker. Stella is living with another dog at present and they are getting on very well. She looks to the resident dog for guidance and would love a confident doggie sibling in her new home. However, now she has grown in confidence she would be just as happy as an only dog with her humans around.
Stella is very obedient and obeys the house rules. With consistency and some boundaries Stella has shown what a wonderful dog she is.
Stella is not a barker generally. She is alerted noises and pricks up her ears but rarely responds by barking.
Stella is on Lovan to help with some anxiety. Her first home prior to being surrendered to us was not a happy one and it has taken time for her to trust humans. However, she has shown once given a chance to settle she adapts to the home life beautifully. She easily takes her meds wrapped in a piece of cheese
This sweet girl will make the perfect companion as she has oodles of love to give. Do you have a comfy spot on your couch for Stella?
Stella has not been formally cat tested but has shown some prey drive so a resident cat is probably not suitable.
