About Jäger
Looking for mister tall dark and handsome? Well, Jäger may not be tall, but he is definitely dark and handsome!
This puppy is simply adorable, and his shiny black coat makes him stand out. He is a happy and playful puppy who has been loving the good life in his foster home. Jäger bounces around, explores, and plays till his heart is content. He enjoys grabbing toys and running around with them and wading in the paddling pool. Jäger is a friendly puppy who enjoys getting cuddles and happily falls asleep on his foster carer’s lap after his day of fun. His personality is super sweet, and you can’t help but fall in love with him.
Jäger is now almost 9 weeks old and weighs in at 3.8kg. The person who surrendered him and his 3 siblings to a rural facility reported that the father was a Dachshund and the mother was a Kelpie mix; however, we have not met the parents or seen photos so there is no guarantee. At this stage, we expect Jäger to grow to a medium size and to have moderate energy levels.
Adopting a puppy like Jäger will mean that you must be ready to tackle all things puppy! You should have thought through a good plan of what this will look like in your home and the plan will need to cover the settling in period, training, positive socialisation experiences and appropriate exposure opportunities. Jäger will benefit from crate training as well. He will also need daily exercise and mental stimulation throughout his life to keep him healthy and happy.
We are looking for a dog experienced home for Jäger where he will be a loved member of the family and included in the daily activities. He can live with another friendly and well-trained dog who is close to 2yrs of age or older. Otherwise, Jäger can be an only dog if his new owners are able to take the time to slowly transition him to this arrangement and have a schedule that allows plenty of time for him. He should be allowed inside the home to be with the family and will need a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night.
Jäger is young enough to be integrated to live with other types of pets with the appropriate introductions and guidance. He is also suitable to live with children as long as clear rules and boundaries are set up in the household for everyone. Jäger would love a home where he gets to explore the world and enjoy all the fun activities with his new owner. In return, we are sure he will shower you in love and kisses.
If you would like to make this beautiful boy a part of your family, then please complete a Dog Adoption Enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website as the first step. Please include plenty of details about your previous dog experience, current members of the household and the type of lifestyle Jäger would have with you.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
