Woody’s personality:
Woody is a true (and very handsome!) gentleman. This sweet Kelpie X may only be 11 months old, but he has the calm, wise soul of a much older doggie. Woody has a very simple philosophy - he loves to be loved. This sun-loving sweetheart is very content with lots of affection and simply being by your side. But never fear! There is so much more to Woody than a snuggly couch dog - if there is playtime on offer, you can guarantee he’ll be on board!

Woody enjoys playing with his toys and his best doggie friends - his favourite game definitely being a good ol’ tug of war. Seeing him race around after his best mate Whiskey during playtime shows us that he loves having an older doggie as a role model but most importantly, the companionship that it brings.

Although he can sometimes take some gentle encouragement to get going, Woody absolutely loves going on walks and you can most definitely see his inner explorer-side rise to the surface when there are new smells on offer!

Woody’s ideal forever home:
Woody would most definitely suit having a doggie friend in his new forever home. Perhaps there is even a special family out there looking for their TWO new family members in Woody and Whiskey?! These two boys have an amazing bond and love being together.

Woody is always keen to make new friends and would love a sociable home where he is able to meet new people and other dogs. He will make the perfect adventure buddy and as always, a good-sized, fenced yard is a must for this playful boy. His ideal family would be one where there is a Woody-sized space on the couch or bed and some sunshine to soak up during those moments of well-earned relaxation! This handsome young gentleman really is such an incredible companion and he can’t wait to meet his perfect family match.

Woody’s story:
Woody was very sadly surrendered by his loving owner who was dealing with some health issues, as well as the challenges of the current housing crisis. Although Woody arrived at Sweet Pea in July, we have been holding off on advertising him in the hope that his owners circumstances would change. He is well and truly happy here, but the time has come for Woody to find his happily ever after! Woody settled in seamlessly to the Sweet Pea family, with his gentle nature winning everyone over. He has made some amazing doggie friends in his time here, in fact he loves everyone he meets and they love him too!

Woody is a gentleman through and through. Nothing much phases this sweet boy and he is most happy when in human company, playing with his canine friends, or with the sun shining on his back. He doesn’t have a care in the world and whilst he is still only a puppy, he is well-mannered, gentle and very smart! His lucky new family are guaranteed to receive endless love and affection from this sweet boy, making him the best companion you could possibly wish for.

Woody’s adoption fee is $500, which contributes towards his medical care, food, housing and other treatment costs to date.
