This beautiful chubby baby Italian Mastiff x Mastiff pup now seeks her forever family.
Jitterbug is the most happy-go-lucky, placid little pup who is a friend to all people and all dogs.. Her love of playing is matched only by her love of snuggling on the couch with her family, and she will make the most devoted companion for anyone with a soft spot for big, goofy dogs.
Jitterbug is an easy going pup who just loves to be with her humans but who can also be put outside by herself or with other dogs without whining or barking. She adores other dogs and has proven herself to be beautifully mannered around dogs of different ages and sizes. She came into care with her brother who was adopted a couple of weeks ago. She loves playing with toys and carries them around proudly in her mouth, either to the couch or into her crate for a satisfying chew. The couch is her absolute favorite place to be - either draped over - or even squashed under! - another dog, in the lap of her foster mum or dad.

She approaches all humans with a wiggly, waggly tail and has learnt quickly that sitting down calmly instead of jumping up gets her all the chin scratches she could ask for. She does occasionally still engage in a little bit of ankle biting / shoe lace chewing when someone walks by her if she is feeling mischievous, but immediately stopping and saying “uh-uh” puts a reliable stop to this.
Jitterbug is quite a gentle pup and not particularly jumpy or mouthy..
Jitterbug is everything a puppy should be and just loves her toys. Jitterbug is literally a “clean slate” and apart from already knowing the “sit”command, she requires training from scratch - but you only have to look at her bright, thoughtful eyes to realize she is smart and eager to learn. She just LOVES treats and will be very easy to train, making her owners super proud of her in no time.
Jitterbug has been in care with numerous dogs so is very well socialized
Jitterbug has also been in foster care with three dog-savvy cats. After overcoming her initial excitement at the fact that such an amazing creature could possibly exist, Jitterbug is now completely unfazed by cats and barely looks in their direction when they walk by. She could live quite happily with a confident cat or two in her new home.

When Jitter first arrived she did have a broken leg but this has now fully healed and she has full vet clearance

Adoption criteria
A home with a med to large yard that is has secure fencing has shade and shelter from the elements
Children in the home would be great but we seek dog savvy mature children of school age to prevent accidents of puppies being tripped over
We recommend children in the home to have prior dog / puppy exposure before your family applies for a young pup as teething is a thing that will cause inexperienced young children to become upset when the puppy chews their toys and or the children.
Cats will be fine as they are young enough to learn
A home where the puppy will attend puppy school and be treated as a member of the family
A home with another dog would be great but if a male in residence we seek a female companion and vice versa . You dog MUST be well socialized with other dogs ( this is a deal breaker)
