About Miles
Heloooo Everybody
My name is Miles .
Nope I'm not a senior *I know I look old*
I'm a wolfie (Scottish Wolfhound) cross with other mixed breed, 33kg of me; found as a stray 2 months ago in rural nsw pound. Vet said I'm between 2- 2.5 yrs old.
I am a caring, happy, goofy, cheeky and extremely intelligent. I LOVE riding in the car and MY favourite place to go is anywhere where I can explore and smell new things.
Im indoor with access to outdoor whenever I need to toilet. Of course I am toilet trained and yes I am now house trained too. On a warm day especially australian summer i need to be kept cool due to my thick fur i get hot easily .so if you have AC at home that will help me a lot .
My foster family has done amazing in training be into a city/domesticated life where all dogs need to be on leash and have good manners.
At home I am very calm and chilled and I'm happy to spend the day napping while my humans work from home and often in the evening I will find my humans for a few pats.
I am also okay with being left alone for periods of time. My fav game is tug-o-war and all my soft toys which I carefully collect and on my bed. Yes I sleep on my own bed . I love my bed. It's the 1st thing I have ever owned that is mine.
I love the water too. I love spending time in the water, especially when it is warm/hot outside. If you have a pool for me thats a bonus!!
I get on really well with other well balanced friendly dogs and I am currently being fostered with another large dog.
I also play gently with a senior mini fox terrier that lives in the same street.
Sometimes I can be a bit too excited when meeting another dog for the first time but I have improved a lot since being in foster care . All these new domesticated life is very new to me and very diff than when I was living as a stray on the street.
Talking about that- this is also why I will need to continue my training with my forever hoomans.
I need a family that loves and understands my breed and has the time to teach Me more about other lifestyle skills. Afterall; Training is a lifetime journey right ?
I'm very intelligent so training me has been easy. I have quickly learnt my name, how to sit before my food and how to wait before I leave the house
I need to live in a house with secure fence . Being my height means I can jump higher than normal dogs. I also need enough exercise and stimulation just like any dogs.
Being a wolfie I'm naturally gentle and docile at home.
I'm always eager to please my hoomans of you let me know clearly and consistently what you'd like me to do I promise you I'll learn it very quickly
I'm naturally a confident man. And I'm respectful of other dog's space and boundaries. If they don't want to be friends with me thats OK I'll just keep walking.
I'm loyal and true to my breed I walk with my nose & eyes .
I'm looking for a wolfie lover. A family with experience with large breed or wolfie breed would be fantastic
I would love to also have a 4 legged brother or sister . One that I can learn from.
Adopting me is easy because I come with all my belongings ie bed bowls leash toys blanket treats etc
Currently I'm on a mixed diet of premium kibbles and raw meat.
If I sound like a great addition for your family; send me a message ! I'd love to meet you
Just promise me you'll look after me and continue to coach/train Me please 🙏
I want to be the best dog in the area !
