Herbie

Meet Herbie. He's a sweet, sensitive, shy man looking for a calm and patient family. He'll look to be allowed indoors to be a part of the family. A very affectionate man who loves to cuddle and hang out with his humans. Enjoys a calm, gentle massage and would love nothing more than to curl up next to you. Herbie can be quite nervous/stressed in new environments so go slow when introducing to new people and places. Can become nervous during close handling so you'll need to work on confidence building (touch consent tests, feeding from hands) and positive associations to help him feel comfortable. Would recommend a fear free vet. Herbie displayed moderate signs of separation anxiety during his BA. Would prefer to go to a home with an owner that is home initially to help settle in him. Best suited to calm older teens but may be lowered to calm gentle and respectful older children who'll need to meet at time of adoption. We recommend single dog home for Herbie.
