About Teddy
Teddy is a beautiful 2 year old Groodle( Golden Retriever x Poodle) who weighs 24kg. He has a non shedding coat suitable for people with allergies. He was very timid at first (as he had previously been kept in a cage and used for Breeding) so has spent the last few months learning all about the big wide world. His wonderful foster carer has been awesome building his confidence and introducing him to the joys of living as an inside dog, teaching him what affection and cuddles look like, how to walk nicely on a lead and have good recall off leash.
He is toilet trained, travels well in the car and is good at the Vets. He is not fond of being groomed and placed in a cage at the grooming salon, so will better suit a mobile groomer who can come to the house.
He is affectionate and is keen to soak up love and attention from his humans. He is “Dog Social” meaning that he happily meets and interacts with other dogs at the park. This boy is calm and quiet in the home and he just wants to be close to his humans.
Teddy is still learning boundaries and has been known to chew the occasional shoe left on the ground or pinch food left on the kitchen countertop. He will need an owner who understands that he is still learning and has the time and willingness to teach him what he still needs to learn. He is also timid on meeting new people and can shy away with sudden movements. He has never shown any aggression towards people. Teddy is the sweetest soul who just wants to be loved.

I look forward to receiving your application. Here is a description of the Adoption process after applications are received:
1. After carefully reviewing applications, I will make a shortlist of 2-3 applicants who best match the dogs needs. Only these applicants will be contacted for further information. I often receive numerous applications for any one dog(especially if it’s young and healthy) so contacting everyone is just not viable.
2. Those shortlisted applicants will then be contacted no later than two weeks from the date of application. If you have not been contacted by the two week mark, then assume that you have not been shortlisted.
3. Shortlisted applicants will be asked to provide a Vet and Grooming reference. This means that with the applicants permission I will contact their Vet and Groomer(if they have used one) to see how well they have looked after any current or past dogs.
4. I then conduct viewings with the few applicants that have excellent references to see if they like the dog and visa versa. This is usually around 1-3 potential families.
5. Once I have chosen an applicant, I conduct a “Fence Check” to ensure that the property is secure. If both parties are comfortable to proceed then adoption takes place. There is a two week trial period where adoptive parents can return the dog and receive a full refund if it doesn’t work out.
6. Dogs are adopted with the following : Current Vaccination Certificate, Sterilisation Certificate, Microchip Details. Adoption fee is $875
7. My adoption process is very thorough as I am committed to finding the very best home that suits each dogs needs and quirks. Rest assured I’m doing the very best I can to make excellent decisions. If you miss out on a dog, I keep all applications in the hope that another suitable dog will become available soon.
This process may seem like over kill, but many surrendered dogs have often come from a less than ideal situation, and it’s my responsibility to do everything in my power to ensure that their future is absolutely fantastic!!!
Have a great day
