About Matty
Matty is a true love bug, a tiny lap dog who loves to snuggle, trapped in the body of a somewhat large German Shepherd.
He is truly a sweet soul and bonds with everyone he meets, including children, he's currently in care with three! He also gets along great with other dogs, frequents the dog park and currently lives with another older, large breed dog and has shared with a small dog in the past.
Matty is gentle, kind, loving and really an all round legend, it's hard to fault him. He would make a wonderful addition to any family that loves large dogs who are big snuggly teddy bears!
MY IDEAL HOME: I am an easy going boy who would suit family life or an active couple who can include me on adventures. I get along great with kids and dogs and am accustom to having access inside and out. I like a daily trip to the dog park and getting out and socialising with friends.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I am a German Shepherd so do require a decent amount of daily exercise but with a daily walk I'm pretty happy snoozing, especially in the sun.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I'm a big loveable bear; I'm currently living with three kids at my foster home (ages 3 and over) and get along great with all of them. I am big so it's best I share a home with kids that have some experience with sharing with a furry friend.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I get along well with my foster family's Kelpie, the neighbours dog and visiting pets, and I run off leash at the dog park regularly. I don't know much about cats but I am pretty easy going, so it's possible that I share a home with one.
Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form.
For Cats: https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870
For Dogs: https://form.jotform.co/80677377750872
Please use these links rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
