About Toby - 6 Month Old Kelpie (Trial)
Meet Toby, your new best friend!
This gorgeous boy wound up in a rural pound due to no fault of his own. Toby is very endearing with a tail that wags non stop, winning over everyone he meets. He has typical kelpie personality traits and is incredibly affectionate and cuddly. He would love nothing more than to find a home that will allow him inside and be a part of the family.
His favourite pastime is to sit by your side or at your feet chewing a toy, followed closely by accompanying you around the house as you go about your day.
This boy LOVES his people and absolutely adores other dogs. Currently he is the only dog in the home, but he would be well suited to a family with other canine companions.
He is toilet trained, likes to sleep inside, is great in the car and knows basic obedience including sit, down and outside. Given his young age he will benefit from ongoing training and socialisation.
Toby loves going for walks and is great on a lead. He regularly looks up at you to check in for reassurance and although he can get bouncy and excited when meeting other dogs, he is still easy to manage.
We’ve noticed he loves to chat back sometimes, and he can be vocal when initially left outside by himself for the day, but he eventually settles in and keeps himself busy with enrichment toys. This is something we believe he will overcome once established in a new home and routine.
Toby is an adoring bundle of love and is sure to bring joy into any active home. He is looking for his forever family to bond with and put his past behind him. In Toby you will have a loyal and loving mate for life.
