Diesel

Diesel is an affectionate sensitive boy. He is deaf so will need a little extra support with his training! If he can't see you, he's not sure you're there or what you are asking of him! He already knows his basic 'sit' cue, especially when you are using a High Value Treat as encouragement.
Diesel can be a little anxious when in new environments and is looking for a patient and understanding adopter who can recognize it may take him some time to settle into his new home and routine! Walking him in low traffic areas is recommended, as is feeding him from slow feeding/enrichment bowls to slow his eating down.
Older children who will understand his deafness, and who can be part of his training regime, would be best for him. Diesel may be best as your only dog. He was able to meet other dogs during his Behaviour Assessment but was a little worried and was more interested in his handler and avoided other dogs. He may cope with sharing his home with a calm social dog.
Diesel would like to meet the whole family, dog included if you have one, at time of adoption.
