Charlie thrives in a serene, "boring" life with his cherished humans. He isn't one for making new friends regularly or navigating busy environments. Instead, he prefers lounging on your lap and taking a leisurely stroll down the street once or twice a week.
Charlie is quite the talker, and he needs a human who's happy to engage in conversations with him. While he may bark occasionally to express himself, it's important to understand that not all barking is a sign of distress for Charlie. His new owners must be okay with his natural vocal tendencies.
Charlie's typical day includes a morning walk, following you around the house, and being a loyal and loving companion. He's well-behaved during meals and walks when given clear instructions.
The perfect home for Charlie would be one with a family that's home more often than not and where there aren't frequent visitors. He's a loving and gentle dog, especially fond of children, and he gets along great with people of all ages. He's not bothered by thunderstorms or fireworks. A spacious yard with secure fencing would be a great fit for him. Charlie thrives in a quiet environment, away from busy roads and bustling pathways.
If he's to share a home with another dog, his canine companion should be laid-back and tolerant, as Charlie can be a bit impulsive. It's important for his new owners to be dog-savvy and work on impulse control with him. Charlie can be a bit of a barker, especially around other dogs, but with some guidance, he can improve.

Charlie's adoption fee includes a valuable post-adoption consultation with his dedicated trainer. This consultation will provide you with expert guidance to help Charlie transition into his new home, ensuring a happy and harmonious life together.
Medical notes
Charlie is currently on anti-anxiety medication that aids in promoting his overall calmness and well-being. His well-being is a top priority, and to ensure a smooth transition into his home, you will be provided with clear and comprehensive instructions on his medication regimen. Furthermore, you'll have the opportunity for a pre-adoption phone call with our program behaviour specialist, who will offer valuable insights and guidance, setting you up for success in providing Charlie with the love and care he deserves.
Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
