About Buster - 1yo Maltese X Shih Tzu (on trial 8/11/23)
Buster is a bunch of goodness. Being a puppy, he does all the puppy behaviours as expected both cute and naughty. He is quite active, loves his toys and would thrive on more stimulation throughout the day with fun activities. He would love to go to puppy school and learn how to walk well on a lead, learn good manners and commands as he is willing to please you. At present Buster is not lead trained but he is working on it and is a quick learner.
He has a shy side and would love a family who will help build his confidence and encourage him to blossom into the best doggo he can be. He takes a while to feel safe and warm up to any environment and persons. He likes to go slow and move within his own comfort zone.
Because he can be a bit fearful of new things, he might try to escape so Buster must have a very secure yard both in height, no small gaps and no soft soil for him to dig under. A front security door screen would be ideal to double up on security.
At first Buster is a bit reactive with other dogs due to the unknown until he gets to know them and feels safe then he settles down again. He would very much like the company of a sibling who is gentle, fun, and playful. He loves to play zoomies with his foster sibling and chase the balls and chew toys.
He uses puppy pee pads inside the home whist he is learning the doggy door to go outside on his own accord. Buster and his carer are working on his toilet training.
Buster sleeps soundly in his carers bed all night long.
