Adoption information
I've been adopted!
About Barney - 3 Month Old Domestic Short Hair (Trial)
Barney the boldest of the three Flintstone felines is just the handsomest fellow with a sleek shiny coat.
He is equally content hanging out with his 2 siblings or just reclining on my lap purring loudly.
Fortunately once spotted as the backdrop to the fish tank as the photo shows ( 1.5 m high ) the tank is now OH &S safe for future visits.
He is cat & dog friendly & fine with children over 2.
He & siblings have a routine & one 2 hour period of "quiet time " every day.
Otherwise they love playing with toys/balls/old collars with bells & bits of rope!
Barney & co are litter trained & always grooming one another.
To register your interest in adopting Barney you can fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://form.jotform.co/93127959159875
PLEASE NOTE: When applying for our cats, dogs and puppies, please ensure to list the name of the dog you wish to adopt. Please do NOT just list the reference number or the microchip number as this will delay your application reaching the correct foster carer.
You can see all our available cats and dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au or www.petrescue.com.au
Barney is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW area. They are NOT currently available for interstate adoption. The adoption fee is $200.00 and they are desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.
PLEASE NOTE: Dog Rescue Newcastle provides individual listings with specific requirements for each foster dog. If you submit an application or inquiry and DO NOT receive a response within 5 business days, please understand that you have not met the specific requirements for this dog. Please do not be disheartened or discouraged, this simply means you were not a suitable match at this time.
This organisation's adoption policy is moderate. What does this mean?
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire: https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
