About Chibbs
Meet Chibbs, our intelligent and darling Kelpie cross who has been patiently waiting for his forever home.
This stunning specimen of a dog is a lively, engaged and affectionate companion. Chibbs is cuddly and sweet, has no problems being handled and can be a true love bug. Chibbs would be the perfect workout partner, he loves to be involved in daily activities that enrich him, and exercise with his favourite people.
Chibbs is smart as a whip and learns incredibly fast. He is food motivated and can solidly engage with his handler. Being such an intelligent dog, it's vital for owners to teach him behaviours that they want him to practice, and let us tell you, he picks things up super quick!
Chibbs would be a fantastic candidate if you're interested in any kind of dog sports such as agility, flyball, obedience, herding or even tracking. As a kelpie cross, Chibbs has prey drive which is valuable for training, however, makes him unsuitable for a home with cats or pocket pets. He would also be best suited to a home with older children.
Chibbs has recently met and become friends with another medium sized dog in the shelter, he thoroughly enjoyed going for a walk and engaging in her company and we encourage people to continue appropriate socialisation with him moving forward.
Chibbs requires a fair but firm owner who is able to develop a relationship based on mutual respect. He is loyal and unwavering, with a heart of gold and a cheeky twist. Chibbs is full of personality and zest for life, and if he continues on a path of fulfilment with training and stimulation he will flourish into a champion.
If Chibbs sounds like the perfect mix of cute and mischievous for you, get in contact with us today.
