About Maggie
Maggie is a 4 month old deaf blue heeler puppy. She has recently come into care and has proved to be a confident, loving and energetic young girl.
While in foster care we have been working on some hand signals for marker and release signs, crate training and eye contact - she is a very intelligent puppy and loves to learn!
Raising a deaf dog can be a learning curve, so Maggie is looking for a home with someone willing to put in the work while she's still young. This means a family who are committed to ensuring she gets the daily physical and mental exercise she needs through walks/jogs, obedience classes and basic daily training at home.
She may also love to dabble in scent work or agility when she's older as well!
She is crate trained, waits for her food nicely, walks well on her lead and takes herself outside for the toilet each morning.
Maggie has also been living with a mix of other dogs and absolutely loves their company, so she will be looking for a home with at least one older, playful male desexed dog.
A note from her foster carer -
"After being involved in rescue and rehoming dogs for the past 10 years, it takes a very special pup to work their way into my heart and make it genuinely hard to say goodbye. Maggie wagged her tail and gave me the most grateful look when I collected her from the shelter, she definitely had my heart from day one.
Whoever is lucky enough to welcome Maggie into their home will it be blessed with a loyal and loving life long companion."

Adoption details
Please note- we do not work on a first in best dressed basis, we assess all applications to choose the home that we believe will best match the animal.
If you believe one of our animals would be a good match for your home please send us a detailed email us with some information about the people and any other animals in your home as well as the type of lifestyle you can offer a new rescue pet. We are volunteerswho run the rescue around families, paid employment and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
