Ruby ❤️ Mini Dachshund (Trial 4/11/23)

Sweet Ruby Tuesday, 9 years young, miniature dachshund is searching for a home where she will be doted on, loved, and adored. Ruby wants a simple life with good food, a comfortable place to sleep and lots and lots of belly rubs.

Ruby will venture out to the garden to briefly explore, but she doesn’t need a large outdoor space as she prefers the great indoors. Ruby loves going for 20-minute walks and discovering new smells. She loves car rides and going on little adventures. She sits up on her rump like a meerkat to look around. So cute! 🧸

Ruby will need her new family to be home more often than not. She will "sing the song of her people" 😄 when you leave but then settle down for a nap until you get home. She doesn’t like to be left alone for long periods.

Ruby enjoys playing with the other small dogs which she lives with in foster care. She is friendly with other small dogs and might like a doggy companion to keep her company, but she’ll need to meet them first. Note that she is not a fan of large dogs and is not tested with cats or pocket pets.

Ruby loves the teenage humans at her foster home so older kids would be fine. We’ll consider homes with children over 5 years old who are knowledgeable about dachshunds and respect their special needs.

She’s not a big barker, although she will alert you if there are loud, sudden noises outside. She currently sleeps on her foster carer's bed, but could sleep on her own bed in her new owner’s room if you insist. Ruby will be your best friend, your lap rug, your hot water bottle and your constant companion. She loves nothing better than a warm lap to sleep on or next to.

Ruby would make a wonderful companion for someone home often. She still has a lot of love left to give and will be a blessing to the lucky family who adopt her.

Ruby is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW. ⭐️He is available for adoption within NSW, VIC and ACT. No flights. You must come to meet her and drive her home.

Ruby's adoption fee is $500 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas, worms, vet checked, and microchipped.
