About Gus ๐ 8yo Mini Foxy (Trial 3/11/23)
Gus is a Miniature Fox Terrier, 8 years old. Heโs a little gem ๐ and only 3.7kg. He is a happy-go-lucky, fun-loving little boy. He is a very curious and smart and likes to investigate things and know whatโs going on. He is sweet and affectionate and loves to curl up on your lap and get lots of cuddles. He gets along well with other dogs and is happy to meet new people.
Gus enjoys going for a walk. He walks nicely on a harness and lead and appreciates investigating all the fascinating scents. He has very impressive ears and a waggy tail.
Gus hasnโt been tested with cats. He isn't a nuisance barker. He loves food and treats. Heโs good in the car. We havenโt seen him around children since coming into foster care. Heโs a friendly dog so we think heโd be fine children 12 and older who will be gentle with him.
Gus would be happy to live with other dogs and would also be fine as an only dog. He is living with 3 other little dogs in foster care and gets along very well with them.
Gus is an inside dog. He is house trained. He will sit for a treat but hasnโt had any formal training so canโt be let off the lead. But he is clever and eager to learn so you can teach him lots of new things if youโd like to teach him.
Gus came from a country pound. He was a bit thin but was otherwise in good condition and he has a cheerful temperament and is well behaved so we think he had been well looked after.
He is fine left at home alone for part of the day but not all day. So, we're looking for someone who doesnโt work full time outside of the home.
Gus has been vet checked and is healthy. He had a dental cleaning. Small dogs like him often live to around 16 years so at only 8 years old Gus still has half his life ahead of him in his forever home.
