NINE pups were found dumped.
SEVEN pups survived.

When we first got the pups, it was clear that they were not in a good state and despite our best efforts two passed away. The pups were undernourished, dehydrated and had an infestation of worms. Two of the pups, Gabby and Shorty, also deteriorated and ended up in the vet in an incubator BUT they put up a brave fight and pulled through.

Never underestimate the importance of worming puppies - hookworm in particular is an invisible killer. So please make sure you worm your puppies from 2 weeks onwards to keep them safe and avoid the unpleasant side effects of unwanted worms and possible death.

Moving on now to several weeks later, the seven remaining pups are happy, healthy and thriving. A BIG thanks to Jess, Dannielle, Keith, Jo and Danielle for giving these little sweethearts lots of TLC. It's been a bit of a roller coaster!

There are two girls – Gabby and Dizzey and five boys – Shorty, Nifty, Sniffy, Hickey and Tubby. We decided to name them after some of the rejected characters who didn’t make the cut in the Walt Disney’s 1937 film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs considering the pups were also rejected when they were dumped.

The pups are now ready to start looking for a family to call their own...
