About Diamond
Diamond is a true gem of a dog. She has a soft and sweet personality that warms your heart. On top of that, she has a stunning brown merle coat, making her a very pretty girl. Diamond is shy when she first meets people but is quick to warm up when spoken to in gentle tones and shown some love. Once she knows you, this girl is a big snuggle bug. She loves to curl up on the couch with you and get all the pats. Pats, cuddles, kisses – she will take them all please! Diamond continues to grow in confidence all the time and every day you see more and more of her beautiful temperament.
While in care, Diamond has been living with two other medium sized dogs. She really thrives off having a doggy friend who can show her the ropes and she is a much more confident dog when she has the others to show her all is ok. We will be looking for a home with another resident dog for Diamond to learn from who has a happy and confident demeanour.
Due to her soft nature and need to continue building confidence, we are looking to rehome Diamond into a relatively quiet environment. This means that her daily walk will be away from the hussle and bussle, and not somewhere where she will be overwhelmed by lots of people. At home, she is fearful of loud and aggressive voices, particularly from men, so it would be ideal for her new owners to have a similarly soft nature and the ability to be aware of how tone affects her. Diamond is good with children; however, we are looking for an adult only home with fewer residents so that the focus can be on continuing to build her confidence and allowing her to blossom.
Diamond arrived in care with minimal training, but she has quickly picked up all the basics. She is food motivated and willing to please. While in foster care, she has learned all about the benefits of crate training. She sleeps in her crate overnight without a peep and will even take herself into her crate during the day for a nap as well. Diamond is toilet trained but occasionally will wet herself when fearful. She travels without issue in the car and shows no issues when left at home.
We are looking for a dog experienced home for Diamond where she will have the right environment to continue to grow and develop. It would be beneficial if her new owners have had some experience with developing timid dogs. Diamond will need a home with another friendly dog as previously mentioned. She should be allowed inside the home to spend time with the family and will need a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. Diamond is the type of dog that has a world of love to give, and she is just waiting for the perfect person to unlock her so that that love can come flooding out. She will be a very rewarding, loyal and loving dog for her new owners.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
