Ernie

Ernie is a total darling!
He and his friend Bert came to us from a breeder who was no longer capable of caring for her dogs. Included are some of the photos of the state they were in when they were surrendered into our care.

Our amazing vet team kept the boys for a few days, cleaning them up and getting their health care up to scratch before they were allowed to enter their new, adoring foster homes.

Ernie has soaked his new life in. Learning the routines of his new home, sleeping indoors, sharing a space with another mature gentleman and going on trips to the local cafes.

Ernie will suit most homes because he is quite calm and content within himself. He is very happy to potter about and take in the sights and smells of his environment. He would make a great companion for an older person/couple who are looking to enjoy the simple things in life with a new buddy.

Ernie has not been around cats and hasn't been tested around younger children so homes without these would be preferred.

Ernie would be happy to live with another calm and quiet dog, but wouldn't be suited to a bouncy younger dog. He would also be very happy to live without another dog but with people around more often than not.
