About Okra
** IN FOSTER CARE IN ERSKINEVILLE**
Okra is a gentle, quiet and easy going, she is an usual blend of breeds, with wirey chocolate fur, a rotund sausage body and short stumpy legs that move like the wind when she's ready to seize the day!
She is very obedient and when in a chill environment, does not bark much. She enjoys going for daily strolls and an occasional car ride, sitting quietly at the back awaiting her destination. She is well behaved in many situations like with other dogs or when surrounded with people and is always a hit at local cafes, batting her eyelids and encouraging pats from passers by.
Okra is really a great little dog that is ready for her second shot at LOVE!
MY IDEAL HOME: Okra would love being in a quiet home. She could also live in a family with kids providing she has some quiet times. She loves having a company and learnt quietly to stay also by herself when we are out of the house or when we sit in another room. Ideally no other pets should live in the house, especially cats.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Okra is an energetic dog when going for walks. She is a fast walker and can walk far further than you think her little legs could manage. She gets excited when she sees cats around. Her energy level is higher in this kind of situation. Otherwise, she likes to stay in her bed when by herself.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Okra is very patient and gentle, even with the younger children. She would happily live with children provided she got her down time.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Okra is fabulously well behaved with other dogs out and about however she can get a bit sassy when living with other dogs so is best as the only dog in the home. Cats get her very excited and her inner terrier says no thank you to living with cats.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
