About Ernie
Hi I’m Ernie! A 1 year old Border Collie mix male. Also known as the cuddle monster to my foster parents because I loooove pats.
I have excellent recall and sitting skills, and have learnt to wait and cross the road. I’m not really into chasing balls but will happily chase my doggy pals who are. I am very interested in other dogs and sometimes need a little redirecting on lead, however I just want to please my owners so I’m a very good listener.
Due to my loyal nature, I love to spend time with my humans. I love having a foster brother too. I would best suit a home that has another dog or humans that are home or happy to take me with them most of the time. I have even visited a busy office and sat nicely at the pub. I love kids and would be a perfect family dog. I have not met any cats yet.
I am fully toilet and house trained. I will sleep on a bed anywhere you want, and sleep all through the night. I don’t bark at home. Sometimes I put my head or two front paws on you to let you know I’d love a pat, but quickly drop down when asked.
I am looking for my furever home, with someone who is ready for all the love I have to give and who will continue with my training.
If I sound like the boy for you, please send in an application today!
Ernie is located in NSW.
Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
