About Chloe
Hi there, I'm Chloe, a gorgeous black standard poodle looking for my forever family. I'm a very cuddly, bouncy and energetic girl who is a typical for my breed in every way
When I'm not out adventuring on a walk, at the dog park making friends or playing fetch, I love curling up on the couch or bed next to you for plenty of head scratches and belly rubs.
Chloe's favorite things include the dog park and plenty of socializing, a fun game of fetch in the backyard with a tennis ball, and generous belly rubs!
She loves a toy to chew, especially a squeaky one!
Chloe loves to be around people and other dogs, she is extremely sociable and friendly. She loves a cuddle in the mornings and at night, and has a case of the zoomies when she's got a lot of energy.
Most of all she just loves being around people and other dogs.
Chloe has been great around everyone she has interacted with, she can be stand-offish and timid at first but after a few minutes of warming up she's showering you with plenty of licks and wanting pats and belly rubs
Chloe very much relies on her family always keeping them in her sight and checking in regularly when playing at the dog park.
She can be quite boisterous and playful so a home with small kids won't be suitable.
Chloe knows the commands "sit", "shake" & "drop". She is eager to learn if there are treats involved but is very easily distracted and has a short attention span lol
Chloe's recall is improving as it has taken her a little while to learn her new name, but she doesn't wander far and will always keep you in sight.
Chloe is well behaved in social settings, going out to both cafes and restaurants with the family. She can take a little while to settle in a new environment but with some reassurance is happy to sit.
She travels well in the car and will jump in the boot/seat when instructed to.
Chloe gets along with most other dogs she has met both on lead, at the house and in the dog park.
She is very eager to play and is more than happy to share her ball with the other dogs. Chloe's playing can be a little bit rough, so she has to be supervised at all times. We have found she is a bit much for small breed dogs
Chloe can get a little jealous of other dogs when they approach you at the dog park for a pat, but she just requires some reassurance and a pat too.
Chloe hasn't been tested with any other domestic animals such as cats, but has been reactive to ducks, birds and rabbits out on walks so we don't think small pets would be suitable for her in her new home,
She loves any chew treats she can chew including bones, pigs ears, jerky etc.
Chloe is food driven when it comes to training and is very gentle when taking treats from you.
Chloe can be pretty independent when people are around the home, however she prefers being in your company and getting plenty of attention.
When nobody is home she can experience some separation anxiety which can cause barking, crying and howling.
Chloe would benefit in a household where someone is home regularly, or can take her with them to work/run errands. We feel another dog would probably help with her separation concerns
Chloe has just been freshly groomed and is happy to be brushed.
She loves to play in water
Chloe sleeps in the bedroom and while she would love to sleep on top of you, she has been encouraged to sleep on her bed on the floor.
Chloe is FULL of energy and needs plenty of exercise to keep her fit, stimulated and happy! She is a standard so they have heaps of energy to burn.
Chloe is generally very good in the home. She hasn't been destructive and sits on her allocated blanket on the couch.
Chloe is not fully toilet trained at this point.
THE PERFECT HOME
Chloe's perfect home would be a family with lots of love, attention and cuddles to give!
She will require a good size med to larger size with secure fencing and plenty of shade and shelter and grass to run on
If another dog in residence we seek a desexed male of similar energy that is med to large and not dominant
A home that can keep her professionally groomed
A home with no small pets including cats
A home where someone is home more often than not due to her separation issues
If children in the home we seek mature children as she is a ball of fun and energy
She would thrive in a fast paced house that includes her in all activities, whether it's a walk in the park, trip to the beach or coffee at your local cafe.
Chloe needs daily exercise, and would especially enjoy regular visits to the dog park
