About Teddy
Hi I’m Teddy and I’m ready to find my forever home. I’m only young (around 2 years old) so I’m still learning my manners and how to be part of a pack.
I’m told I am very affectionate and love to cuddle on my human’s lap any time of the day. I also would love to be allowed to sleep on/in my human’s bed at night (I have a snuggle sack that I sleep in).
Ideally I would like the company of another small dog to show me how to behave (female preferably).
I love my food and will eat pretty much anything.
I love to go for walks but I’m still unsure of the lead and harness.
I’m told I’m very vocal when out on walks and when someone walks past the front door but we are working on that so you would need to keep up my training.
I currently have access to the backyard whenever I need to go outside and I learned very quickly from the other dogs.
I sit on my mat for treats like a good boy.
I take a while to warm to strangers, some I like and will come up for a pat and cuddle but others I just don’t want to get to know so you will need to be patient with me.
I am not a fan of Small humans.
If you think I would complete your pack please get in touch with me.
Medical notes
2 year old Teddy is microchipped and desexed. He is up to date with vaccinations as well as flea, tick, heart worm and intestinal worm prevention.
Teddy does have mild- moderate patella luxation in both hind legs, however he shows no signs of discomfort at this stage so surgery is not recommended. Please note that he may require patella surgery in the future if his knees worsen, and we would recommend starting him on a joint support supplement to help as he ages.
Teddy has recently had a dental with quite a few extractions. He has healed well after this surgery. He will also need to have a close eye kept on his anal glands - any signs of scooting, he will need to have his glands expressed by the vet.
