Mr. Muffin

Do you know the muffin man?? Well let us show you someone better - Mr Muffin!

This gorgeous gentleman is a Maremma, and although they look cute, fluffy, and cuddly, they're actually a very special breed with a few important requirements. Maremma sheepdogs have been carefully bred over centuries to be livestock guardians, and are very intelligent with a specific skill set.

The lovely Mr Muffin is no exception- while he is the definition of a gentle giant and loves the company of other animals, this boy will need lots of stimulation and enrichment. He would be better suited for a property with some land, as Mr Muffin will need plenty of exercise. Ideally, he would also have some other animals on the property to be able to follow through on those guardian instincts.

We would also love for Mr Muffin's new family to have some experience with this breed, so that they can make sure that he is getting the training he needs so he can live up to his full potential.

Mr Muffin has also let us know he may be suitable to go home with another like-minded dog companion, so if you have a resident dog at home - please bring them to the meet and greet!

If you think Mr Muffin is the dog for you, please come down to our shelter in North Melbourne to meet this brilliant boy today!

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about the breed, or Mr Muffin himself! We can be best reached via email at adoptions@dogshome.com
