About Molly
Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:
- A family situation where people are home more often than not or a large doggie companion
- Children over the age of 12
Molly is just the sweetest girl with so much love to give. She is very affectionate, and loves belly rubs and cuddles. She also loves to play with her toys, and is a very curious pup.
Her favourite time of day is the morning, and she gets very excited when everyone wakes up and she gets to say hello, with lots of tail wags and little dances with her front paws.
She has settled in really quickly to her foster home, and adapts well to new situations. She has been fostered with an older male greyhound and loves company, so we do think she would be okay as an only dog if owners are home often, or would live well with a larger doggie companion. She is okay being left alone during the day, but will be very excited to see you when you get home, with lots of tail wags.
Molly has a lot of confidence and doesn't seem to be fazed by noises or traffic on walks. She is very curious and loves to sniff and explore new environments. This can mean that she can be a little bit distracted on the leash (the world is such an interesting place!), but with a little bit of help and leadership we're confident she will be a pro in no time. She tends to be extremely friendly if other people want to interact with her, so we've been giving her some guidance to help her work on her manners when meeting new people.
On walks, Molly tends to be excited when seeing other dogs. She is still quite young and excitable, and can get too excited around small dogs and cats, so we think she would be better suited to a home without small pets. Molly would also be best suited to a family with older children, as when she gets excited she can be a little bit boisterous.
While she is an energetic dog, she is okay with a 20 minute walk each day, where she can sniff and explore, and the rest of the time playing with her toys, which she also loves to collect in little piles in her bed or on her couch.
Molly will make the best companion and friend for her new loving family.
[Note: Under Victorian Law greyhounds must be on-leash at all times in public areas, including in off-leash parks or ovals]
