About Mojo
Mojo is a one year old Maremma Sheepdog with an affectionate nature and keen desire for human company.
Born on 11 May 2022, he weighs 33 kgs so is standard for his breed.
Maremmas are calm, loving and protective dogs by nature and Mojo is no different. These photos were taken in our vet surgery on the day of his desexing. He was relaxed in that busy environment and receptive to attention from kindly strangers.
Maremmas bond strongly with their human family members and can make loyal and dependable companions. They are intelligent dogs and fast learners. Although they have an independent streak - necessary for their history as a guardian of stock - they thrive in a domestic setting with consistent and patient training.
Mojo is not suited to farm life, preferring instead a large backyard where he can romp and play. He is good with other dogs but as always, a proper introduction is necessary. He is currently untested with cats. Due to his large size, Mojo unsuitable for families with very young children.
As always, secure fencing is a must.
Preference will be given to homes where someone is around most of the time, as Mojo loves company and will require daily enrichment. Previous breed experience will be well regarded.
If you are interested in meeting Mojo and can offer him a suitable, safe and loving forever home, PLEASE COMPLETE THE ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ and one of our volunteers will be in touch.
Mojo is desexed, chipped and vaccinated.
