About Gigi
Feel like your house is fit for a Queen? Want to live with royalty? Here's your chance!
Meet Gigi – Queen of Bayside. She loves walks around Albert park lake, walks along the beach and following her foster mum out to cool venues to enjoy brunch, lunch or an afternoon drink. She loves the pub, going for a latte, and has even spent the afternoon aboard a sailing boat.
Gigi is an affectionate, outgoing and active girl. She’s really curious about the world around her. She’s a social girl who has really come out of her shell during her time in foster care. Once scared of the intercom, she now jumps up when it goes on because she gets to see friends which means extra pats and treats. She's also been known to demand pats when she meets new people on her walks!
Since being in foster care Gigi has become more independent and will sleep on her own bed. She’s learned how to confidently navigate stairs, and will give anything a try. Gigi loves food and she's keen to be a taste tester, meaning learning new things is easy with some treats.
Gigi has met lots of other large dogs and has been curious and friendly- everyone is a potential playmate! She is happily chill when left along for periods of time as long as she’s had a walk or a little stimulation beforehand.
Her foster mum describes her as sweet and sassy, and always looking for a good time! As long as you are active and social, prepared to take her for adventures and play with her, she will fall in love with you in a heartbeat.
Gigi would brighten up any home, and make you feel like royalty. The sweetest best friend! Apply today.
Adoption details
STEP 1 – ENQUIRE & EOI FORM:
https://greytgreys.org/adoption-form/
If the greyhound you have applied for is unavailable or unsuitable, we can match you with a more suitable greyhound. We may have a hound in foster care who might be well suited to your family.
STEP 2 – LET'S CHAT:
We'll phone you to discuss suitability, clarify any points of your application and chat process and next steps.
STEP 3 – HOUSE CHECK & MEET + GREET:
We'll come to you! The meet + greet is conducted at the same time that a house check is carried out. The meet + greet is the day that your newly adopted greyhound will be able to stay on with you.
Our adoption fee is $375.00 and must be paid on on the day of the meet + greet, and prior to starting your 3 week trial. Support from our team is freely available. If you have any issues, we urge you to contact us to try and work through them, as all rescue greyhounds have some period of adjustment.
If after the 3 week trial, you feel that you need to return the greyhound, we will refund your adoption fee (less a $50 administration fee), upon return of the dog and all paperwork and other items that the dog was adopted with.
All of our hounds are adopted out with the following:
> Collar, lead & coat
> Certificate of sterilisation & vaccination
> Flea & worm treated
> Care information for your newly adopted greyhound
> Access to our private Facebook page for foster carers, volunteers and adopters of our hounds. A community with invaluable advice and support.
