About Momo
Momo is a big, beautiful Alaskan Malamute mix.
This gentle giant is as laidback as they come and can only be described as a flawless sweetheart.
Momo is incredibly placid and is content with a minimalist lifestyle. He enjoys a slow and steady walk around his neighbourhood, travels beautifully in the car, rarely makes a peep and just wants to shadow his humans around as they potter about the house. Looking for a loyal best mate? You will not find a better companion than Momo.
Momo has been extremely loving towards the children in his household and has proven himself to be a friend to everyone. There is not a mean bone in this boy's body and he has shown no adverse reactivity to anything (including cats, dogs, visitors etc). Due to Momo's size (60kg) he would however be better suited to dog savvy children.
Momo is currently on a diet to help shred some excess weight and is seeking a family that can understand Momo's exercise limitations. Momo would benefit substantially from hydrotherapy and does require a lowset home to support his mobility.
Momo has been residing as an only dog and is content being home alone for periods of time. In an ideal world, Momo would love to find a family that are happy to have this couch potato resting at their feet, sunbaking beside them or following them around during yard work without a care in the world.
Momo can be a little stiff in his back legs but his carer is saying it's improving with exercise and his daily health supplements and a good diet. It would be great to introduce swimming to him.
If you're looking for an affectionate sweetheart to join you in the slow lane then look no further than Momo❣️
Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need-Brisbane website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. Our emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
