You’re a wizard Harry!!!

Meet Harry the 1 year old Kelpie x. He will use his magical charm to win you over with his hard working, intelligent, cuddly, gentle personality.

Due to Harry being a smart little wizard, he will need someone who can give him lots of attention, stimulation and cuddles!

He would be perfect for someone who wants to take him everywhere with them and make him part of the family.

Harry is a quick learner! He already knows how to use a doggy door, sit, lay and wait for dinner. He jumps into the car and does well buckled in. Also doing well walking on the lead. He will need continued training with tricks and general house life.

Just like Harry Potter, Harry the Kelpie also had a rough start to life. Harry was found as a stray and was at the pound before finding a foster family to save him. Since then he has bloomed into the handsome, gentle, cuddly, smart young wizard we now know.

Harry is a super friendly dog. He absolutely loves people and he also enjoys other dogs company. He has barked at cats on walks so I think a cat free home would be best. He has been tested with the foster family’s snake and he doesn’t seem phased by it.

Harry’s favourite things are to cuddle in bed with his foster parents and share his toys with his foster sister.

Harry is in foster care in Toronto, NSW area. They are currently available for interstate adoption. The adoption fee is $500.00 and they are desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.

PLEASE NOTE: Dog Rescue Newcastle provides individual listings with specific requirements for each foster dog. If you submit an application or inquiry and DO NOT receive a response within 5 business days, please understand that you have not met the specific requirements for this dog. Please do not be disheartened or discouraged, this simply means you were not a suitable match at this time.

This organisation's adoption policy is moderate. What does this mean?
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire: https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
